Agile fluency signals experience on collaborative product teams. It carries no information about coding ability, so treat it as a team-fit data point and read their actual work for technical depth.
Agile replaced long upfront project plans with short cycles and steady feedback. Scrum is its most ritualized form, with sprints, standups, and retrospectives. Kanban is a looser continuous-flow version. Most job descriptions that say 'agile environment' mean some blend of the two.
