Cloud skills carry a provider flavor and still transfer. A strong AWS engineer adapts to Google Cloud in weeks. Treat the named provider in a job description as a preference until the hiring manager says otherwise. Deep cloud expertise shades into infrastructure and carries the same scarcity. Certifications indicate study, and production incidents survived indicate experience. Weight the second.
